Meet Your Coach
Strong Now. Strong Later
FROM IT TO STRENGTH COACHING
After 27 years working in IT, I made a decision that surprised even me. I stepped into a completely different chapter of my life and built a fitness business helping women 35+ get stronger, not smaller.
I’m 48 now, and I feel stronger than I did during my years of chasing endurance performance goals.
But my path here wasn’t linear.
My Fitness Journey
I wasn’t always the “fitness person.”
Growing up, I was more focused on school, band, and drill team than athletics. Movement was never a major identity for me, it was something I explored in pieces over time.
In my 20s, I joined a gym for the first time. That decision unexpectedly led to becoming a group fitness instructor. Later, after having children, I transitioned into teaching prenatal and “Mommy & Me” fitness classes while continuing my career in computer programming.
In my 30s, I discovered running and everything changed.
What started a casual 5K eventually became triathlon relays, marathons, ultra trail running, and years of structured endurance training. I trained for and completed 16 marathons, including Boston and New York City, and achieved two sub-3-hour marathon finishes.
At one point, I was training at a level that included 100+ mile weeks and preparing for elite performance goals.
From the outside, it looked like peak fitness.
THE TURNING POINT
But over time, something shifted.
I started realizing that more wasn’t always better.
For years, I believed fitness meant pushing harder:
more miles, more endurance, more discipline.
And while I’m grateful for that chapter, it also taught me an important lesson:
Endurance alone wasn’t enough for the kind of long-term health I wanted as a woman.
What I began to value more wasn’t performance for its own sake but strength, resilience, and sustainability.
I wanted a body that supported my life, not one that required constant recovery from it.
That realization changed everything.
WHY I SHIFTED TO STRENGTH
I stepped back from high-volume endurance training and began focusing more intentionally on strength training, recovery, and nutrition.
And something unexpected happened:
I started to feel better.
Stronger.
More stable.
More energized.
More capable in everyday life.
Not because I was doing more…
But because I was training differently.
That shift ultimately led me to step away from a 27-year career in IT and build a business around what I had learned both personally and professionally.
WHY I WORK WITH WOMEN 35+
This stage of life brings real changes that are often misunderstood or oversimplified in fitness culture.
Metabolism shifts.
Muscle mass naturally declines.
Recovery takes longer.
And the strategies that once worked in our 20s and 30s often stop delivering the same results.
But this is also a powerful stage when approached differently.
I work with women 35+ who want to:
build muscle and strength
improve bone density
lose fat sustainably
support metabolism and energy
and feel confident in their bodies again
Without extreme restriction.
Without cardio obsession.
Without burnout.
MY COACHING APPROACH
My coaching is built around two core principles:
Strength Training for Longevity
We focus on progressive, effective strength training that supports your body for the long term, not punishment workouts or endless cardio.
Macro-Based Nutrition Without Restriction
We use flexible, sustainable nutrition strategies that support performance, energy, and real life… not rigid dieting rules.
MY BACKGROUND
Over the years, I’ve lived fitness from multiple perspectives:
Group fitness instructor
Prenatal and postpartum fitness coach
Marathon and ultra runner
16 marathons completed (including Boston and NYC)
Two sub-3-hour marathon finishes
Former IT professional with 27 years in the field
I’ve also worked with coaches across nutrition, strength, running, and swimming especially during my highest-performance endurance years.
All of that experience now informs how I coach women through midlife strength and health.
WHY THIS MATTERS TO ME
I didn’t build this business from theory.
I built it from lived experience.
From learning what it feels like to push hard…
and what it feels like to rebuild differently.
My goal now is simple:
to help women become stronger in this chapter of life than they thought possible.
STRONG NOW. STRONG LATER.
If you’re here because you want to feel stronger, more capable, and more confident in your body again you’re in the right place.
This isn’t about starting over.
It’s about building forward strength for the life you want next.
